Memorial Lecture in Honour of Professor Glen Loutzenhiser - Wealth Taxation in the 21st Century

The first memorial lecture in honour of Professor Glen Loutzenhiser was held on Saturday 28 June at the Gulbenkian Lecture Theatre in the Faculty of Law. The lecture was delivered by Professor David Duff of the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia, who was a friend a and teacher and a mentor of Professor Loutzenhiser. Professor John Vella spoke in memory of Professor Loutzenhiser, as did Professor Duff. Professor Duff's lecture discussed a topic close to Professor Loutzenhiser's heart: Wealth Taxation in the 21st Century, addressing both the academic literature (including Professor Loutzenhiser’s work) and past attempts at taxing wealth to look towards the future of wealth taxation.

The memorial lecture was announced to be a new annual tradition in Professor Loutzenhiser’s honour.
