MSc in Taxation Alumni Event 2025
Over 100 alumni, members and friends of the Oxford tax community attended the MSc in Taxation's annual Alumni Event on Saturday 28 June, 2025.
The day started with the MSc Summer Tax Policy Symposium held at the Blavatnik School of Government, with presentations by alumni Kunal Nathwani (on AI in Tax Administration) and Steve Dwyer (on Personal Carbon Allowances: An Idea Whose Time Has Come?). Professor Niels Johannesen, Director of the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation, also gave a presentation on Evaluating the BEPS Project. The Symposium was followed by punting on the River Cherwell, starting from Magdalen Bridge.
The day continued with the first memorial lecture in honour of Professor Glen Loutzenhiser and ended with a drinks reception and dinner at Balliol College. Over dinner, a generous donation by one of the MSc alumni in Prof. Loutzenhiser's memory was announced dedicated to the study and scholarship of tax at Oxford.
